COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update

Dear Patients,

On March 17th, 2020, the Louisiana Department of Health required that all routine, non-essential dental visits and non-essential dental procedures/surgeries be postponed for 30 days from the date of this notice.  The period will run from March 18, 2020, through April 16, 2020.

At this point in time, we will be open during our regular business hours for emergency dental procedures only.

All patients will be screened upon arriving at our office.  Everyone will be asked to disinfect their hands upon entry and I will be implementing a temperature screening for every person who enters the office, including my staff and myself.

Patients will be asked to reschedule their appointment 2 weeks later if you meet the following conditions:

  • If you have had a fever of 100.4 within the last 24 hours
  • If you are ill with flu-like symptoms
  • You have a dry cough not associated with allergies to pollen
  • If you, or someone you are in close contact with, have travelled to Europe or Asia in the last 2 weeks
  • If you have been exposed to someone who was diagnosed with COVID-19 or who was quarantined as a precaution

Our standard of care is to treat all patients as if they may have a communicable disease.   At Cormier Family Dentistry, we maintain CDC compliant sterilization and disinfection protocols for instruments, patient treatment rooms, and our waiting area to minimize risk of any infection or cross contamination.

Sincerely.

Drs. Adam and Jana Cormier
